This was actually yesterday's snow covering our maple tree, but last night we got some more accumulation. Wonderful to wake up to all that white! And what a perfect chance to bundle up and take a Family Walk. Idyllic, even. Except when two little somebodies decide that they don't particularly share their parents' need to get out of the house. Our efforts to get a 21/2 year old into his snowsuit while he was running around the house crying, "I'd better run away!" quite tearfully, and his sister into the front carrier while she was also squalling did not end in the Norman Rockwell-esque expedition we had imagined. We settled for five minutes outside in the blowing snow and wind before retreating inside to peel off wet sweatpants and have hot chocolate. Much better!
His preferences at this age can change by the day or even the hour...
